Performance
Popularity seems to follow the new Mustang Mach-E. One reason is the way this EV manages to live up to its namesake. These Ford EV crossovers feel more like a sports car when you are behind the wheel.
As with most EVs, there’s a choice of two battery packs and a choice of RWD or AWD powertrains. Rear-wheel drive models have a single motor. They produce 264 horsepower which is plenty for this family-sized EV.
A RWD Mustang Mach e can do the 0-60 mpg sprint in 6 seconds. That’s anywhere from one to two seconds quicker than many single-motor electric rivals. Even better, all-wheel drive adds a second electric motor, and, with it, the 0-60 mph sprint takes 4.8 seconds with the extended range battery pack.
AWD output is 325 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque while GT models crank up to 480 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque. This allows the 2026 Mustang Mach e GT to run the sprint in about 3.6 seconds. Even speedier, the Mach e Rally can nail the sprint in 3.3 seconds.
Standard RWD models can go up to 260 miles on a single charge. Extended Range RWD models have an electric range of 320 miles, surpassing the previous California Route 1 models and their 312-mile electric range. AWD models can go up to 300 miles with the extended range battery. Even the GT has a range of up to 280 miles.
Prices and Trim Levels
Mustang Mach e prices are actually lower in 2026 than they were in 2025. The Base price drops $200 to $37,795 MSRP. The Mach e Premium price starts at $40,595 MSRP, dropping in price by about $1400.
As the third trim level, the Mustang Mach e GT commands an MSRP of $53,395. This starting price is about $110 less than the previous model year. If you want the ultimate look on the ultimate car, you can go for the GT California Special Package with an estimated price of $2,495.
The California Special Package has heritage-inspired styling and an illuminated Pony emblem. Rave Blue accents and 20-inch carbonized gray wheels add to its curb appeal. Mach e interiors wear navy-blue with blue and silver stripes on the special sport seats.
Interior
With its clean-cut cabin, the Mustang Mach e feels big and roomy. A minimalist design is rendered in the highest quality materials. There are soft touches everywhere as well as the richly upholstered, supportive seats.
The technology features, discussed in the next section, are front and center, providing a rich assortment of today’s more sought-after connectivity. The driver’s cockpit has an ergonomic design with space-savers like push button start. A driver’s power chair and dual-zone automatic climate controls are standard.
Trim level refinements include fun stuff like a panoramic sunroof, cold weather aids like heated seats and a heated steering wheel, and important assistance from a power liftgate. The GT Performance model adds sporty extras like large bolsters for the front performance chairs.
Many shoppers question whether EVs can really earn their SUV labels. Well, the large 29.7-cube cargo hold is a class superlative. When it comes to total area, the folded seats provide 59.7 cubes, another superlative.
Technology
When you open the door to the new Mustang Mach e, there’s no mistaking the futuristic nature of this electric vehicle. Ford puts digital instrumentation behind the steering wheel and a 15.5-inch touchscreen. Together that’s 25.7 inches of customizable displays.
Naturally it has Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, WiFi connectivity, and Bluetooth. Navigation is standard, and the system is ready to show you where the electric charging stations are whenever you need them.
Trim level refinements include a 10-speaker stereo system. And all Mach-E models can get over-the-air software updates to keep their infotainment systems current.

Safety
With the number of safety assistance systems on this new Ford EV, the driver can feel more confident. The sides are watched by the blind spot monitor, the lane departure warning, the lane keep assist, and the lane centering function. The front is guarded by the forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, and traffic sign recognition.
The rear is watched by parking sensors, a rearview camera, and rear cross traffic alert. Higher trim levels offer a surround-view camera system.
If you want to increase assistance, adaptive cruise control regulates speed to match the traffic conditions. The available semi-autonomous Blue Cruise goes further, adding the ability to steer as well as accelerate and brake.
