A traditional 5-liter V8 delivers a one-two punch of 400 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque.  Powering the Raptor, a turbocharged V6 produces 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque.  At the top of the hierarchy, Raptor R powertrains are supercharged V8s with an incredible 720-horsepower outlay.

Ford trucks offer class-leading towing and payload ratings. Of course, ratings vary as you choose from one of the many cabin-bed configurations and the available engines.  The top tow rating is 14,000 pounds. The top payload rating is a staggering 2,445 pounds.

The Pro Access tailgate is a Ford exclusive. It provides extra ways to use the bed by allowing it to open 37 or 70 degrees. This helps it avoid hitting a trailer jack.  

Meanwhile, a special handle allows the tailgate to open 100 degrees at full tilt. To help reach items, Ford engineers devised an additional 19 inches of reach compared to traditional tailgates. The built-in steps are available even when the tailgate is in use. 

Best of all, it has a single door that allows the user to open just one section, providing access when a trailer is in place.  SInce it is on the driver’s side, access is especially fast when you are in hurry. 

Promoting a modern lifestyle, the F150 has its most advanced dash tech ever. The 12-inch touchscreen features the Sync 4 interface for fast interactions.  It’s matched to a digital instrument panel, completing the driver’s cockpit. Wireless Apple Carplay and wireless Android Auto let drivers put their navigation apps right on the screen.

Ford driver assist standards make the 2025 F150 truck as smart as it’s ever been. While maintaining affordable XL prices, the manufacturer includes the tools that watch for trouble alongside the truck. This includes lane keeping assist, blind spot warnings, and rear cross traffic warnings.

F150s are the first trucks to have standard rear automatic braking. This reduces the chances of damage or injury. The XLT surround view camera is the ultimate tool for work, towing, off-roading or big-city maneuvering.  This is just what a full size truck driver needs to keep their rig out of harm’s way.

The standard forward collision warning is backed up by automatic braking.  Exclusive to Ford, a post-collision autobrake seeks to reduce the chances of additional impact.
