You can choose between a fast charger and a faster charger for home use. There’s also a 32-amp mobile charger.
With the standard range battery, the truck can drive for up to 230 miles before it must be charged. The extended range battery increases that to 300 miles (EPA estimated range). Towing, Payload and Other Specifications
Unique to the electric F-150 Lightning, there’s a 14.1 cubic-foot storage unit up front. It can handle up to 400 pounds of cargo. Ford calls it the Mega Power Frunk.
The top payload capability is 2,000 pounds. Ford is offering OnBoard Scales. This is a helpful way to monitor how much weight is in the bed.
The standard range battery allows the truck to tow up to 7,700 pounds. That matches most entry level trucks, and it is excellent for many uses. The extended range battery has a 10,000-pound towing capability.
Like other full-size trucks today, there are helpful drive modes. These include a tow-haul mode and an off-road setting.
Ford F150 Lightning Trim Levels
The Lightning has its own trim levels. These include the special Pro model, the XLT, the Lariat, and the Platinum.
